Mentoring Program

The GBA Board of Directors recently met with Lynne Bedard, PhD, the School-Based Coordinator for Ponaganset High School. Lynne works with students, businesses, and various government and private partners to help high schoolers prepare for careers after graduation. We were very impressed with Lynne's presentation and  discussed the possibility of GBA Members' involvement with this program.

The program includes:

  • Career Exploration to help students discover their passions and create an Individual Learning Plan.
  • Career and technical education programs and college-level coursework to help students build industry-specific expertise.
  • Work-based learning, such as internships or industry projects, allowing students to learn in an authentic work setting.
  • Students entering the workforce in a high-wage, high-demand industry aligned to their passions.

Where do YOU come in? By becoming a mentor or program teacher, you can help students achieve their goals and gain valuable assistance in your business.
